FLOUR PIE FROM ZAGORI WITH FETA CHEESE AND HONEY
- 350 gr. feta cheese «ΔΙΒΑΝΗ»
- 1 cup Greek honey «ΑΤΤΙΚΗ»
- 1/2 cup virgin olive oil ALTIS / SOLON / ELANTHI
- 400 gr. flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 50 gr. butter «ΔΙΒΑΝΗ»
- some water
- 1 egg
- olive oil ALTIS for the pan
Preheat the oven at 220°. Put the oil in a large pan (40 cm) for the pie. Put the large pan in the oven to burn well.
Place the flour in a bowl. Beat the eggs with the milk. Add the half virgin olive oil
ALTIS and stir until it becomes a porridge. If needed, add some water until the porridge becomes thinner.
Finally, add half of the feta cheese «ΔΙΒΑΝΗ». The thinner the porridge, the tastier the flour pie.
Pour the porridge into the warm pan. Sprinkle the surface with rest of the feta cheese and the rest of the olive oil. Beat the eggs and drizzle the surface.
Place butter pieces «ΔΙΒΑΝΗ» on the surface of the pie. Cook in high heat for approximately 45´ until it turns brown.
As soon as the flour pie is ready, it will be easy to unstick it from the pan.
The ideal is to be thin and browned.
Remove it from the oven and drizzle with Greek honey ATTIKH.
Serve the flour pie warm.
